About Me

Mrs. Bishop
This is my ninth year teaching at the Academy of Tucson. The best thing about this school is that it's number 1 priority is helping the students succeed. We have a great staff. I student taught honors chemistry at Catalina Foothills H.S. and received my teaching certificate from the U.of A. My original degree was a B.S. in chemistry with a math/physics minor. Right out of college I worked for IT engineering in Irvine California. My work involved working in mobil labs and sampling hazardous materials. Three years later we moved to Alaska. There I worked for ASCG engineering. One of my duties involved teaching hazardous materials classes in places like Valdez. The classes prepared students to work on oil spills such as the Exxon Valdez. After 3 years my son was born and I became a stay at home Mom (and part-time student) until my youngest was ready for school. Then it was time to start teaching.
